Hopefully I am not making too many threads on this clutch, but it's too interesting not to share. They have all shed out, and like promised, here are the photos.
If you're not sure which clutch I am referring to, click here.

So definitely an odd clutch, I'll be keeping the BEL, ?? and Pastel (Vanilla?) back and breed them. Not sure what to do with the Enchi male. Maybe keep him back and breed him to a Normal? What are your thoughts?
I'll be doing the same pairing next year (Pastel Enchi male to Vanilla female) and see if I get any similar results. What is really confusing me is obviously a BlkEL was produced, however the other hatchlings look to have vanilla in them, not fire. I am wondering if I am dealing with a new BlkEL gene similar to the fire but perhaps not as strong? I always thought the Vanilla girl was different..
I have a clutch in the 'bator from the Pastel Enchi father to a normal. 5 Eggs due September 18th. If there is anything going on with the male I may find out in this clutch.
There is no chance of retained sperm here. I bought the female as a hatchling and she has only been paired with a Pastel Sugar (no locks) and the Pastel Enchi. I don't own any fire or other BlkEL producing males.
What are your thoughts?
Thanks!
