Re: Sad day
She didn't eat and just had laid eggs but the only weight that was lost was that of the eggs I made sure she didn't have any issues through the breeding season as she was a virgin breeder but was going to offer her food this week since she was getting back to routine then BAM she was dead

I'm sorry to hear about your girl.
Will you be getting a necropsy to see exactly what happened?

Oh goodness, I am so sorry for your loss. A necropsy may be a good idea in this case, to determine a cause of death that took her that way.

Re: Sad day
So sorry, it's bad enough when it's old age... but sudden... it's the worst.

Re: Sad day
Breeding and egg laying puts allot of stress on these animals bodies. Even in perfect condition somtimes the strain on their facilitys can be do much. I've had this happen to me once before, have an animal lay eggs and come back the next day to her dead. Take heart in the fact that if she was healthy, and properly cared for that there was nothing to prevent it or that you could have done to stop it.

Re: Sad day
I just lost my lemon pastel female last week whose babies hatched last week. No signs of anything wrong with her prior to her passing.
