    Tubs for incubator?

Are there any tubs that are specifically designed for use in an incubator? If not what does everyone else use?

A lot of it depends on the size of your incubator. I use 6 qt tubs in mine.

    Re: Tubs for incubator?

I also use 6 qt sterilite tubs. The non locking kind.

I might switch to Iris tubs in the future though.

Depending on clutch size and the way the eggs are arranged, I'll use either 6qt for smaller clutches and 15qt for larger. My incubator is a full size converted freezer that will hold as many as 13 of the big ones and 19 of the smaller. So what you use will depend upon your incubator size and configuration. Good luck!!!

Are there tubs designed to incubate? Yes but they are pricy. They are called S.I.M container and exist in various sizes. http://www.squamataconcepts.com/prod...tails.php?id=1

I use 7 quarts sterilite tubs and also have a few 15 quarts for clutches of more then 8 eggs.

And this is how I set them up which is the same principal then the S.I.M container.

I use these rubbermaid salad keepers as they are the biggest tub that will fit in my tiny incubator. Also they are square.. and green.. and have a diffuser included so I can keep the eggs off the substrate!

    Re: Tubs for incubator?

Thanks all. Those squamata tubs are really cool. However they are a little too expensive in my opinion. I think I am going to go with the locking sterilite tubs.
