Just being paranoid I'm sure
So it's been a while since I've personally had a snake at my house. And at this moment I can't even call it my house because I'm deploying and about to leave a very valuable snake with my mom as I will be deploying soon. The snake wont be at the house until the December/January timeframe, but I'm just being paranoid and want to make sure I'm getting all of this right.
I'm about to order all the supplies for my mother to keep the snake at her house and I want to make sure everything is as perfect as can be so she doesn't have a difficult time with anything. Also this snake is currently a hatchling but by the time my mom gets it, I'd imagine it being 350+ grams
Cage I'm getting is a vision model 111, 24" wide - 12" deep - 16" high, definitely buying a cage lock as well since it's sliding glass.
For heating the cage, I'm purchasing a small Flukers heat mat, 6" x 11". As well as a Vivarium Electronics VE-100 Thermostat to monitor/regulate the temperature.
Small things include two small hide box 5 1/2" x 4" x 2 1/4", a Zoomed rock corner bowl 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" x 1 1/2" (only because LLL didn't have any ceramic bowls that I saw), and an 8 quart bag of aspen.
Sound good to everyone? Anything else that could be added?

Is the heat mat controlled by thermostat? I would get a set of tongs in case there is something your mom doesn't want to touch. Such as refused meals.

The mat will be controlled by a thermostat, yes. Good idea with the food handling.

Just a thought, if she doesn't feel comfortable taking care of it then you should find another source just in case. I just always like to have a backup plan and then a backup plan to that backup plan.

At least one more water bowl as my snakes use them as toilets. It's much easier to dump the dirty water down the toilet, put the bowl in the dishwasher, and give the snake a clean bowl than it is to wash the dirty bowl by hand. Same goes for hides.
IR thermometer or temperature gun
A good hygrometer
Betadine
PAM and/or Reptile Relief, especially if you think your mom will go to a big box pet shop for supplies, and end up bringing home more than she bargained for.
Contact info for a local snake owner who can answer questions if you're unavailable.
Contact info for a herp vet.
Links to videos of snakes with RI and other common diseases so your mom knows what to look for.

She knows that she's able to use a simple plastic bowl if the snake needs one, I just got that certain bowl to make the cage look "fancy". The rest of that stuff can be found in my old snake room, little cluttered at the moment with random stuff but she would know where to look. And she knows a few of my buddies who breed balls, one of which in particular who can point her to a certified reptile vet.

It has nothing to do with her feeling comfortable. It's more of me being paranoid because I've never been gone longer than a week with snakes in the house. She's not dumb to taking care of reptiles at all, being they've been in the household for over a decade until I enlisted. And as I mentioned in the above post, she knows a few of my buddies. It's more or less of me not wanting to burden my friends with one of my snakes. I don't know why, but I feel more comfortable with my mother looking after the snake.

I didn't see anything about what substrate you will be using. I prefer paper towels or EcoEarth.

Aspen shavings. My mom will probably just end up using newspaper though. Unless she puts it somewhere in the house to kind of display it, then she'll want it to look nice and will probably continue to buy aspen.
