Just something interesting..... experts now know that the nerves that go from the heat pits go to the exact same place in their brains that the nerves from their eyes go to. So they now believe that the snake doesn't just sense the heat from the prey, they can actually see, or visualize the prey possibly like our thermal cameras do. I think nature is sooooo incredible.
