Proud(lucky) first time owner! but am I over feeding?

The juvenile I bought around 3 months ago has doubled his weight (200-400) and had two complete one-piece sheds! So I'm very pleased because I was ready to deal with a snake who would get stuck sheds and not eat right off the bat.
I switched him from mice once a week to rat pups once a week, but recently upped him to small rats which are about the same width as the thickest part of his body. He's a real easy feeder so far- there are times I even dropped the rat or he missed and still took it. Anyway, he's eaten about 3 small rats all a week apart and is gaining consistently, but I noticed his droppings are getting very large and he physically looks FULL, like chubby right down to his tail.
I'm wondering if spacing these larger meals out to 10 days apart would be a good idea? I would do it without a second thought if he didn't greet a meal so readily every time. Either he actually is hungry or he's a natural pig. What do you think?

You can probably just keep doing what you're doing. I wouldn't worry much as long as the meals don't get bigger than the widest part of the snakes body. Your snake is still young. It's kinda hard to over feed them during their biggest growth phase, and a 7 day feeding schedule is just fine so no worries.

Sounds like you're doing just fine. It's amazing how quickly they put on weight. I think I read somewhere that 100g a month for young balls is not unheard of. That said, every snake grows at a different rate, so just stick with what works for yours.
