What to get?
Soon I will be rebuilding my collection. I will have around $10,000 to start out with. I know I am going to be getting a blackhead male and most likely going to be getting a pied male as well as some triple gene male with pin in it, not sure what exactly yet. So with those already stated what females would you get? I know het pied females already but other than those what would you get? The amount I will have is after racks and rodents and all of that fun stuff. That is only for snakes.

Maybe looking into the clown combos? Bumblebee clowns are wicked! Champagne would also be pretty awesome. Just mine opinion though

i would get 8 enchi or mojave females
or, to be more close to your scenario, 3 guaranteed het pied females and 5 enchi or mojave females.
But then, with 10000 dollars, you may have the funds to go for two-gene females.
But then, you really should buy females first and worry about males later.
What is the plan? quick results or the regular way?
Normal to slow, but effective, would be, starting with 10000 dollars: Get female hatchlings, raise them up, start buying males one year later.
But you want a blackhead and a pied male, what for? Unless you already have the females, what is the point? Females take (2-)3 years to sexual maturity, males only 1 year. Given that prices for morphs all generally go down, why would you start with males?

Stick with recessives. They hold their value better than codoms and doms. I'd invest in codom het females, raise them up then get a codom visual recessive male to go to all those females. That's what I'd do/am doing slowly atleast.

Re: What to get?
I want the blackhead and pied because I love them. The end result will have a blackhead pied in there. I also want to get some red axanthic going on so I was thinking of getting a red axanthic female. Most likely I will be getting some females that are a year old. I would get the hatchling females and wait a yea but I really don't want to wait that long. I have seen most of what I have said available and I know I can find females that are up to weight no problem. With the funds available that I have the females shouldn't be a worry.

Re: What to get?
i am a bit confused..... so ill just share an awesome article that will hopefully help you a lot.

I hope you like it. And for the thread in question, i dont know what the plan is, where it shall go. And no matter where you want to go, buying males first probarbly wont get you there effectively.

Re: What to get?
I am very aware of breeding ball pythons as I have done it for years. I know ages, weights, everything such as that. I also know that if I get females that are at least a year old and hatchling males then in about a year all will be ready to breed at the same time which negates the "get the females this year and get the males next year" With the males I have in mind the end results would be pied black heads, pieds, black heads, pin mixed in there, red axanthic mixed in there, and a few others. The point of this thread is to find out what people would get if they had those finances and had picked those males. Maybe it will help me with some ideas and give a little more direction.

Re: What to get?
Like Pythonfriend said always always buy your females first, they take longer to grow out. If you buy females later when they're bigger depending on the morph you spend about twice as much sometimes more.
The only way I could see some one starting out and getting male heavy is if they had a split collection with a friend or some one they was working with during breeding. So they could split profits and have right on females in the clutch since they owned the Sire ect...
Pick out the females you want then build your males off that.

What to get?
If I had that kind of dough, I'd skip the hatchlings and buy breeder or almost breeder sized females and your males right off the bat. Then you don't have to spend hundreds or perhaps thousands on feeding and housing for ~3 years while you wait for them to get up to size. You could potentially start getting a return on your investment this season. Just my .02

this all sounds really fishy. i mean, 10000 dollars but seemingly unexperienced.
In this case, how many female breeders are the goal? 5 or 10 or more? You can get a lot of BPs for 10000 dollars, what is the plan, what is the idea?
How do racks and tubs look like?
i dont know what to think exactly, but it does not feel right.
