Moldy egg?
Just did my weekly check on my eggs and noticed that my solo het pied egg is getting a slight greenish tinge to it. It is still candling veins but not as strongly as before and I can see dark patches inside the egg (possibly the embryo?) It's on day 35 so I wouldn't have thought it was a moisture issue, though there is condensation inside the tub. I'm just slightly worried that it wont make it to full term, so is there anything I can do to help remove the mold and help it's chances?
I'm incubating on vermiculite/perlite mix, no egg crate, with press n seal at 89 degrees. Will try and post a pic tomorrow...

Mold is usally a very bad sign but if you're candelling veins than that gives reason to stay hopeful. Unfortunately only time will tell - I have my fingers crossed for you.

Hmm, just looked at it again and it looks like the egg could being going bad. The veins definitely arent candling as strongly as before - another clutch laid the same day all candle with much stronger veins.
Guess time will tell, just sucks if the egg dies with only a few weeks to go, especially as it's my only shot at a pied!

I also have a mold egg. It was suggested to me to take a qtip and wipe the area with rubbing alcohol after the mold has been cleared off. Supposedly this will kill whatever mold couldn't be physically removed.

Keep wiping down the area. You can also use antifungal powder lightly on the area.

Both of these will work, just be gentle with the egg.
