    Funky Hatchlings

For some background info on my year so far, my first clutch (lesser x mojave) resulted in 7 out of 8 dead babies. Most had severe deformities. I was so discouraged to lose those BELs, lessers and mojos but very happy that one little mojave is going into its first shed and seems to be doing ok. I thought it was a compatibility issue with the dame and sire until this second clutch came out.

My second clutch (bee x lesser), thank god all 4 are alive and healthy, but have some crazy patterns. I'm wondering if there was a temp spike from a power outage while I was on vacation. What do you think about these guys? I had great odds with 1 lesser spider, 1 queen bee, 1 bumble bee and the funkiest pastel ever lol!

I have one more clutch of 7 (pastel x bee) in the incubator. Fingers crossed they are all healthy.

Sorry to hear that you lost 7 worms. At least the lil mojo made it thru and you got good odds on the second clutch.

I had to double check the pic thought I seen a Calider. Seems like you may have had a temp spike or drop along the way.

Anyways congrats on a great looking clutch.

Thanks! Yeah I'm wondering if the funky color patches will shed off eventually or if they'll hold the color.

Yeah I was thinking paradox but the parents of the clutch are a bee and a pastel. Either way they are pretty cool looking

    Paradoxes

Wow nice looking paradoxes. A paradox is a light or dark patch streak, a patch of normal or other pattern where it should not be. Its a paradox not genetic usually. There are some beautiful examples we have a lesser with a dark streak. Try the pair next year and see if you get more paradoxes breed back see if it also produces paradoxes. Good luck on the rest of your eggs. I would love to see more pictures of paradoxes.
