If it were to me... It's simply a quick illustration of how even a minor event can make the news. As small and brief as this article may be it puts a lot of unwanted attention towards to the local reptile industry, especially when reference is made to the New Brunswick case.

If it were to the news article itself... this article is an easy sell and will gain quick publicity in light of the recent tragedy in Eastern Canada. Although it may not be front-page material any time a non-native species is captured in the 'wild' it will usually make some form of news whether it be a blog, column, webcast etc.

Personally, I prefer Ricky's article over the bunch.
im pretty sure he was wondering why a stray snake would make the papers, thats all. I think the fact that someone lost a morph would be more interesting a news article than some dude went into his garage and found a snake! ( on a side note.... I went into my backyard and none of you will ever believe it but I seen a RABBIT!) And I mean this thing had fuzzy brown hare () and long floppy ears!!!! It was VERY disturbing. I thought about calling animal control but decided to run indoors instead! shrew close one!!!!
