Having a problem attaching ring terminals to heat tape..

I bought a length of heat tape from Reptile Basics. As the directions said to do I added ring terminals to the cables I'm using to connect to the tape. I marked where the hole needed to be to fit the ring terminals tight and hole punched them. It worked beautifully.

I slid the ring terminals in between the layers where the connectors are supposed to go but when I went to rivet them in place they were super loose and I was able to push the rivet out of the hole with ease.

I guess I'm using the wrong size rivet? Has anyone else run into this problem and if so, what was your solution?

    Thanks in advance, Ian

Try emailing Reptile Basics. Rich is very helpful and responds quickly, and I would say has more experience with his own product than most of the people on this site.
