The "before" picture:

All the explanation necessary is that I was born on Flag Day, it was my birthday, and it was 1991.

The "after" picture:

This is after I finished painting my side of the dog house outside the Sioux Falls Humane Society last summer - almost 21 years to the day after the "before" picture was taken. My mom's an elementary school art teacher there and quite a few years earlier had this dog house donated to the shelter. Some of her students at the time did the original paint job and it was desperately in need of a makeover.

I'm hardly ever "clean shaven", so I snapped a couple pictures to document.



I look like a child without a beard.
