Of course you'll find sometimes even when conditions are perfect they won't eat (even hungry) just to tick you off.
He ate the first week I got him but then I had to change substrates so i think I've upset him a little bit. Temps are good and I saw him hiding in the hot side pot this morning so I hope he's settled in by feeding day(Tuesday). I'm thinking I may let him eat in his cage to avoid upsetting him further.

Welcome to your new vice. He looks great and good job on changingthe substrate so fast!
You may want to black out the sides of the tank. Will help him feel enclosed and not on display lol.

Why? Are the clay pots are no good?
I set it up so there's 3 hides. Warm hide to the left, moist hide in the middle (off the heat pad) and 3rd is under the space around the water bowl.
Btw, he seems settled in pretty well. Mostly hides in the warm hide, head poking out. Rest of the time he's under the water bowl.
