    Exclamation Male Inverted?

    Hi there!

I just found my male laying like this; kinda hard to tell from cell phone pic, but his lower body was inverted upside down.

Is there a special meaning to this? He is a male.

    Thanks
    Danny

    Re: Male Inverted?

That's exactly how I lay after a big meal. Maybe get him a pair of "Thanksgiving Pants" (sorry if this reference is lost on anyone) and let him sleep it off for a bit.

Seriously though, if anyone has any insight to this behavior in males, I'd be curious to learn as well.

Lol. Last time he ate was last Saturday, a small rat, and on the smaller side for a small rat. He hadn't eaten a few months before that. He doesn't eat very often.

I can't offer any insight as far as why, but my male does this sometimes too. Although I mostly see it after he's been locked up for a while.

Well he hasn't been with the ladies yet. I've had him a few years since he was a little worm. This is the first time I see him doing this.

    Thanks

    Male Inverted?

My male hognose was doing just this the other day. I know for sure he hasn't been with any ladies. I didn't think of it anymore than a quirk. However he hasn't eaten in a few weeks, he never does in shed, so maybe he is trying to tell me he is wasting away. More of a "look at my poor belly!" Type deal
