How long was the nest/eggs there? You only posted the first couple pics <2 weeks ago.
Here is the timeline.
They started building the nest on july 4th.
I took the pictures the following day of the eggs being laid.
The first baby hatched 2 days ago.
From what I know eggs take 10 to 12 days to hatch, babies babies seems to hatch 1 day at the time and will be out of the nest at 12 to 14 days.
The I will finally be able to use my front door again.

Interesting. Didn't know some birds could build, lay, hatch, and grow that quick. Pretty cool(and I'm sure annoying at the same time) you got to watch it on your front door.
You gonna take that wreath down when they're gone? ;-)

Nah I will just remove the nest and see if they comeback next year (I am a glutton for punishment ).
It's only gonna be a month and a half out of the year not being able to use the front door and having those babies is a pretty cool experience, the miracle of life is always an amazing thing even if it happens on your front door

Nice. I like your style. Hmmm. At your front door eh? How bout this scenario: circus comes through town and an a pregnant elephant drops a baby on your doorstep? Not sure if I could call it epic, but would definitely be unusually cool.
