RBI rack on carpet/ bottom tub hotter

Sorry if this has been asked before, ive been searching for an answer but all im finding on google is info on carpet pythons in racks lol. So my rbi rack is sitting directly on the carpet. Is this whats making my bottom tub hotter than the rest? Im trying to figure out if thats the issue or if its the heat tape on the bottom shelf. Thanks

That would make sense, as I imagine it'd have less ventilation?

Head to your local hardware store and grab a large kitchen/bathroom tile and place it under the rack.

Yes carpet would insulate the heat better rather than disperse it... Tile sounds like a good plan, otherwise a couple tops to rubbermaid containers might work too, might be cheaper idk basically a nonporous surface is what you should be looking for.

Thanks everyone for the info. I put sheet of wood under it before leaving for work. I'm going to check on it when I get home. I might go het some tile or a coffee table tomorrow
