Neal, please take a listen to some of the more obscure rap artists out there. Not everyone is going to be like you hear on the radio. Try listening to a Macklemore song other than thrift shop, he raps about very deep and interesting topics, although he has a few somewhat stereotypical songs. Try "Same Love" although that might be a bit of a controversial topic, "Awake" or possibly "Starting Over" Don't write off a whole genre just from the tiny slice you have heard.
