Some breeders also do phantom + mojave, and then just call them mystic potion.

while strictly speaking mystic potion is mystic + mojave. But then some breeders are convinced that the two genes are the same.

I think you should bluntly go forward and call it both, mystic potion and purple passion, but make clear that it originated from a pairing that gave it mojave + phantom.

Anyway, it looks awesome. The one difference people keep mentioning when comparing mystic potion to purple passion is that purple passion has less pattern and can even be mostly patternless, but i like the pattern on this one, while it clearly has as much pattern as any mystic potion.

I like this combo no matter how it is called, and this one is a nice example of that combo. Also it will look stunning at any age.

I spoke to a member on here last year when I produced 3 purple passions. this member that I'm trying to remember their name worked with both phantoms and mystics. they said that they could see a difference in their clutches. and the big difference was in the super form. I agree they mainly do the same thing like a lesser and a butter. when I got my phantom it was the rdr line and I paid more for him than what I could of gotten a mystic for. when I got the phantom I knew that they did basically the same thing. but the phantom was and still is in more demand than a mystic, making it easier to sell. I had them last year with a lot of pattern to almost no pattern. I have another clutch cooking in the bator right now. don

Aye, i would (if selling via a website) add mystic potion somewhere in the description for this snake or on the website. Feed google and other search engines / crawlers, or starve when it comes to hits and search results. You have to feed the search engines.

If all else fails, keeping mystic and phantom seperate will help people to reduce inbreeding to zero. A breeder working with mystics and mystic potions over generations gets worried about genetic health, and buys a super phantom. Or the other way around. So it makes sense to stupidly follow the ancestry even if both genes are identical, it makes sense should they not be identical, and in any case keeping the lines seperate by name makes sense because it enables people to avoid inbreeding by switching from one line to the other.
