My question is how do you get a weight or any measurement for that matter on your snakes?

Get a digital scale from the department store - kitchen section. Costs about $20 to $30. That is for the weights.
Get a string and a measuring tape. Start at the tip of the nose with the string and run it down the snakes back all the way to the tail, then measure the string

Are you some kind of genius or something?

I completely overlooked a digital kitchen scale and string, when I get him out tonight I'm going to try to measure and weigh him.

I weigh mine with a kitchen scale as well. The string idea never occurred to me either. Make sure you get a scale that measures in grams. I didn't pay attention when I picked up mine and now I have to do conversions from pounds/ounces to grams every time.
