plaster mesh?

i saw a rat rack asf, mice rack that used plaster mesh instead of the normal Hardware cloth

will the plaster mesh work ok

have any of you guys used plaster mesh on a rack and if so how is it and do you have any picks

If I'm thinking of the same stuff your talking about the holes are pretty big. I would think small mice could squeeze through them. and it's sharp so I wouldn't recommend it.
