Help! My Python is 'twitching'!
For some reason my python started shaking like he's hiccup.
I saw it just like an hour ago and he's doing it approximately once in 10 seconds.
What is this?!?
He look's ok, but this makes me worried!
How can I help him or what is going on?

What are your temps?
What is your humidity?
How are these being monitored?
Are you using a heating pad? If so, is it connected to a thermostat?
The majority of BP health problems stem from husbandry issues. If you can get specific measurements and describe your setup/practices, people will better be able to help you.

We need a lot more info:
1. Is your BP a morph?
2. What type/size cage are you using?
3. What are you using to heat the cage?
4. Is your heat source regulated in any way? If so how?
5. What are you using for substrate?
6. Have you treated for mites?
7. Have you changed any thing in the cage or around the cage?
8. Have you sprayed anything around the cage or used any chemicals?
9. What are your current cage temperatures/humidity, and how are you measuring them?

The cage about 110cm long, 25cm wide.
Humidity 60, Temperature 31 Celsius
I am using the heating pad that is not being regulated, but at the moment it's so hot that i switched it off.
I did not change anything in the cage as I had recently problems with him not liking his hiding place, so i had to change it.
Substrate is snake bedding that i got from petco - don't really remember the brand - but we never had problems with it.
Didn't use any chemicals in that room, at all.

do you know how hot the pad got? it sounds to me like since the heat pad got "too hot" it may have burned your snake and by the sounds of his movements may have caused neurological issues.

Re: Help! My Python is 'twitching'!
Is he the only snake in the enclosure?

is he a spider ball? because my spider twitches and spins his head around all the time. it could just be "wobbles" which is no big deal.

I'm gonna x2 on Jay's post here, if your heat pad isn't regulated it can easily cause neurological issues from being too hot. And "snake bedding" isn't a good enough explanation; is it coconut fiber (brown and stringy, stays humid) or aspen (pale, thin strips that look like they were peeled from a tree)? How thick is the substrate?

This sounds like neurological damage from overheating from other posts about overheating but I would not immediately diagnose that with conviction.
Is it the only snake?
What is the actual bedding made of?
