feed her a live hopper put her in a shoe box then drop the hopper in she should take it quick and if thats what u already tried then i would wait a couple of days but if ur feeding her f/t she might not take it .. that small chances are the breeder was feeding live .. gotta get a couple of meals in her b4 u go f/t to get her feeding response up she probably only ate one time since he sold her ..

yea but he was probably feeding live pinkys to her .. if u can get a hold of live pk rats then do that .. to switch her over is easy but u need to get a response from her so when u drop something warm in the tank she sees hit smells it and hits it .. if u cant get live pk rats just get a mouse hopper should be fine then let her eat those about once a week until she has a good response then u start switching her over to f/t i got a good way to switch if u need help when that time comes .. but i put money on it u go get a live one today and put it in a shoe box with her she will eat

    feeding issues -_-

I agree that offering a live hopper is a good idea, but I would suggest offering it in her enclosure, preferably at night. Get her eating regularly and then switch to F/T.

the only reason i say a shoe box is that its less room so when she goes to strike she will most definitely hit it .. if she has it in a tank then the mouse has all day to hop around and can scare the snake .. but its up to u really either .. or

but i do believe in building confidence in young snakes .. 1st strike 1st hit instead of 2 or 3 strikes and snake gets frustrated then mouse jumps all over snake and then snakes does what balls do best .. and ball up .. lol .. after a couple of feeding and good responses u can start feeding in the enclosure .. unless u have her in a tub already ... jmo

feed her live what the breeder told you she was eating. you want to make sure she's not feeding because of another reason that's stressing her. once she eats a few times, then offer her a freshly killed rodent. if she doesn't take it, you can freeze it for later so you don't waste it. once she takes the freshly killed a few times, then try the f/t next. most hatchlings with a good feeding response will switch without too much of a problem.
