Okay I was just curious for those of us that do not have a lot of room. In the future I would like to get a few more reptipets but I don't have the room for the big boys like reticulated or burms. What are some good pet snakes that fall under the 10 ft range?
I've read of rosy boas and king snakes but found little to nothing about temperment or adult length. Just curious! Thanks in advance!

Rosys im not positive.....kings get around 4-5ft.
Now if you mean something AT 10ft or under....I could list a ton.
Around 10ft is probably a Coastal but not the best pet.....now a BCI will get around 8'. Ball Pythons about 4-5ft. Corn snakes and Rat snakes are around 5-6ft.
I could keep going. Tell me what you like....and I'll head you in the right direction!

You should consider bullsnakes or gopher snakes. (Genus: Pituophis) They come in an awesome range of sizes and colors. Many gophers don't get over 4'...some bulls can get as big as 7'-8'. There are lots of natural color/pattern variations within the sub species and locales...plus a few morphs of the more popular ones. They typically tame well, are less inclined to musk than other colubrids...but can have a rather awe-inspiring attitude/personality...especially when young. They're quite addictive, too, if you start studying them and get to see how great they are.
If you want to learn more about this awesome genus, just let me know.
Here's my Cape Gopher Gallery. He's our first, and so far only snake. We love him to pieces! He's a pleasure to handle, not nippy or flighty. He was about 20" when we got him this past August and is now almost 3' long!

BCI what does that stand for? If they are what i'm thinking of they're gorgeous.
Basically I'm looking for something about the size of a BP (female) that has a good temperment just to look for future pets.

Be our representative of Dwarf Reticulateds muwhahahah. I also would've mentioned coastals - but of course you can always come to the dark side and get a nice beefy Blood . . .

Hey Smulkin,
I love the look of Bloods (and big beefy snakes in general). How are you finding the temperment so far? We've all heard the horror stories about hissing, biting, spraying musk, etc. Tell us you experience sinse the aquisition.
