Sometimes snakes grab it backwards. It's something that happens on occasion(even on successive occasions) and nothing to worry about or over think. Baby snakes are still learning the ways of hunting/eating so it'll happen more frequently than when they are older. My Oreo sometimes still eats something backwards and he's 12 years old.
