    More of Leonhard :)

Hey everyone The little guy is doing fairly well, all things considered. He's shed, and he's eating like a fiend. I will admit to some concern about his lack of defecation; I called our vet and if he hasn't managed to produce some waste in the next week (I'm soaking him currently), I'll be taking him in for a full workup. But in the meantime, he's adorable and here are pics!

Here's hoping the next post has news of... erm... snake "stuff"

    Later!

Update: we have elimination! I repeat, we have elimination!

I took Leonard (yes, I'm changing it to the English spelling because remembering the "h" strains my brain) to the vet on Monday, because in addition to no sigh of, erm, poo, he also refused his meal on Saturday. When I went to pack him up for his vet visit, upon opening his enclosure I found that half my concern had been eliminated (quite literally!). So I packed up the remains of the day, so to speak, and took it in with me for his visit because I know my vet and she is a fiend for fecals.

The vet report is excellent: his micro ophthalmic eye shouldn't be an issue especially in captivity, his kink is minor and obviously isn't impacting his ability to pass anything, no sign of mites, fecal exam was clean, and he looks marvelously healthy... and like he's going into shed, which might explain Saturday's meal refusal.

I'm to call if he refuses this week, but she doesn't think he will.

    Whew
