    Python Head Shapes

Comparatively speaking, how would you categorize the variety of pythons' head shapes? They definitely vary from species to species. I'm not sure if it's the pattern or actual shape, but I think the ball python has the least attractive one. (Albeit I still really love balls though!) I guess it's the thinner cranium that makes the snout look fat or something. I love the shape that Burms, rocks, and short tails have though. The arrowhead pattern on that of a Burm's that creates the light yellow masking stripe on the eye just fits it perfectly, and is just the pattern that I think fits the stereotypical python. Morelia python heads seem to have rounder shapes and somewhat shorter snouts. Kind of like balls except with less of a duckbill snout.

I'm honestly not certified with the level of intelligence to put this into words though. What do you all think?

    Re: Python Head Shapes

All my snakes (balls) in my collection have differences in their head shapes. I have an older normal female who has a beefy, broad "bulldog" head and a female who is only 600g lighter than her who has a sleek, streamline head. A few of my boys have large mouths compared to the overall size of his head.
