    1 tub setup ???

I have this space under my current tank and I was thinking of building some kind of sliding tub (kinda like a dresser drawer) for a second BP.. The dimensions 15 1/2" deep, 7 1/4" tall, & 23 3/4" wide.. I want to be able to slide it out without constantly rubbing on the UTH. Also would it be possible to get a tub and cut off the visible side and replace it with plexiglass ( hubby doesn't see the point in having it if you can't see it)

Instead of trying to modify a tub to what you want, I think it would be easier to start from scratch.

A sheet of plastic, some wood, and a piece of plexiglass could be used to build a drawer style cage.

You could also make a custom glass tank that would fit inside the opening.

Both methods I listed would have a raised bottom panel that the UTH could be attached to. it will mean that the cord and probe will have to have some slack in them, but they should't rub.
