Well...I dream of breeding bp's someday. There are some beautiful morphs I'd like to be a part of...although I think they're getting a big carried away with some of the "designer morphs." I'm much more interested in the morphs that have actually been wild-caught...not so much the ones that have been mixed in a blender. LOL
I think captive breeding is a great thing for the animals because (in a perfect world) it should help lessen the impact on the wild-caught populations. I think it is also gradually helping to educate the general public about the wonderfulness of all herps.
If there is a species that is "saturated" on the market...sort of like cats and dogs are today...then I might not support the breeding of that particular species, but I don't know of any. The one thing I think there should be SOME restrictions on are the giant snakes. Burms and retics are too easy to get by people who have NO idea what they're getting into, and that is unfortunate...mostly for the snakes, but sometimes, tragically, for the people, too. But for someone prepared and capable of keeping them, they are wonderful.
Did I say enough??? LOL
