Recently I was talking to this guy whom I was very up front about my snakes and gecks from the beginning and he said initially that he wasn't into them but could deal. After hanging out and talking more I pressed him and learned that he was terrified to come into my house. He then got pissy when I told him well I guess there isn't any point in seeing each other anymore lol.
It goes both ways unfortunately. Since my ex and I of 6 yrs broke up last year I've just been dating around a little and when I told my mom about my blood laying eggs her exact words were "No wonder you don't have a boyfriend." lol

Yeah, I know the feeling. My mom says I'm starting to get obsessed too much with snakes. She can go suck an egg.
Went on a date with a chick; she said she wasn't a fan of dogs that slept with their owners nor was she a fan of snakes. I didn't go into it when she made a statement about pythongs having fangs.  That was the only date we went on and we both agreed on that.

My guess is you don't have a boyfriend because you won't settle for some silly little ninny!
IME it takes a whole lot of time and dating around to figure out what works best for you... takes even longer to find someone who fits the bill.

Aw. But doggies make the best foot warmers! Best not even bother engage educational conversation in someone so oblivious. They always know some urban legend to refute science. Its cool yall came to an amicable agreement. Idk what that dude thought was gonna happen but I'm not going to give up a hobby I love just to date someone.

Lmao. My father has the same affinity with words. :/ blunt facts backed with flawed, jaded and or cynical logic. All the more reason for me not to lose sight of the importance of these animals and what they mean to me.  I'm sure you'll have a suitable boy toy soon enough to help put those cynical theories pertaining to your relationship status at rest.

I'm pretty sure most of the people I talk to get sick of me talking about my scalies pretty quickly. And with two 40-gals side by side next to my bed... Well, that's a lot to handle for people who are easily creeped out.
