    Tropical Mist?

Has anyone ever used this Tropical Mist by Zilla? me and my husband went out and bought a FULL Setup tank for my snake and hes just loving it, he is basking under the lamp atm, and I have the black light one for night time.

Anywho has anyone used this and is it any good?

I wouldn't use that stuff, it's a waste of money. All your snake needs to shed properly is proper humidity levels in the cage.

Would it be ok to use both the light and the under tank mat heater I have or could that do more harm than good?

You can use both, but the under tank heater MUST be regulated by a thermostat and monitored by a probed thermometer. (The second thread I linked in my first post goes over this stuff in detail)

The most important thing is that your cage temperatures are stable and correct
(90 hot side, 80 cool side a few degrees either way isn't going to hurt, but the cage shouldn't ever get below 75 or above 95)

Keep in mind that UTH's only heat the surface they are attached to and not the air in the cage, your heat lamp is what controls the air temperature in the cage. Also UTH's require you to have a very thin substrate layer, 1/2" or less.

it depends on what your room temperatures are like, and what wattage the bulbs are, and how tall your tank is, lol. I'd just use the UTH, (with a thermostat!!) for now. Please invest in a thermostat, it's the most important piece of equipment to have, and they don't come with those 'kits' you find in petstores.

A thermoSTAT is different than a thermoMETER. (Not shouting, just showing the difference, lol.) A thermoSTAT cannot usually be bought in a store. This is the least expensive on the market right now, and will do a decent job:

    http://www.amazon.com/Hydrofarm-MTPR...stat+hydrofarm

Your UTH plugs into it, and then the thermostat plugs into the wall. If you do not have one, your UTH will burn your snake. I know you don't want that to happen, so I want to make sure you're informed.
