    Temp drop during incubation

UGH! I'm so irritated and worried right now. My mom (who lives with us) unknowingly unplugged my incubator this morning to plug in a printer and the temperature dropped to 84.3 inside. I'm not sure how much the temp dropped for the eggs themselves since they are in tubs that are sealed with press n seal and a lid over that. Once I discovered that the incubator was off I plugged it back in right away but I'm just wondering how worried I should be about the temp drop. There are 2 clutches in the incubator. One at day 32 and the other at day 20. I'm trying not to worry and just wait and see but if anyone could just give me some reassurance it would help a lot! My mom is also feeling really bad at this point and I know if anything happens to the babies she's going to blame herself .

I wouldn't worry too much. Temp spikes are more dangerous than temp drops. Some people incubate their eggs at 85 with no issue, so I'm sure they'll hatch fine. But keeping a steady temp is the most important thing.
    Good luck.

We incubate at 85, so I think you will be ok. I bet the temps inside the egg tubs were a little higher, too.

What do you typically see as # of days before hatch when incubating at 85 degrees? 65-70 days?
