    Puffers new house

    Just had to share:
I purchased a new enclosure for my GTP, Puffers, from PVC cages last week. I received it in the mail on Friday and finally got around to putting it all together Last night. It took only a few minutes (maybe 15) to screw the panels together, but I sealed the bottom to make it water-proof, so I let the silicone dry for a few days before putting the perches in and decorating it with tropical plants.
When I introduced her to her new abode last night, she immediately started exploring her new home, stretching out on the perches from one end of the cage to the other and poking her head in and around all the plants. Call me crazy, but I’m sure I saw her smiling! LOL.
Well, I woke up this morning to find her stretched out under the heater, all the plants rearranged, and her shed twisted around some of the plants and over the perch with a great big pile of poop smack dab in the middle of the cage under the perch! Talk about making herself at home and christening the cage!
She’s now in her usual position sleeping her tired little head after painting the town red last night.
Plants are back in order, waiting to see what tonight brings.

    Here’s a few pics for your enjoyment….

    Andy -

Puffers - sleeping it off after painting the town red. Probably waiting to be fed now!

Puffers - waiting for me this morning - plants all tiped over, shed hanging off her perch and a pile of Puffer-Poop!

    Precious!!

Mine makes a mess of its plants every night. By far my most destructive snake. Mine will also swim through his water bowl too. He is something.

Your cage looks nice and I like your perches.

    Thanks!

The perches are Crepe Myrtle branches. I REALLY like the cage and setup. Puffers is usually pretty sedintary, but her former cage was much smaller. I hope she feels comfortable enough now to rome around. I don't mind if she tips the plants over. They are light and I doubt she can get hurt by them. I have quite a few orchids in bloom that I can display in her cage as well.
