    If she does only lay one egg, that does not mean that she will do that every year. I have a female that laid one egg and one slug last year. This morning, she gave me seven healthy eggs and one slug.

    If it has been more than 24 hours since she laid the egg, I'd palpate her to see if I could feel any more in her. Be careful, do it lightly. It isn't often that females lay only a single egg, but it does happen.
