I'm incredibly not useful, but I'd guess some sort of garter or ribbon snake. Maybe look at the subspecies in your area?

there is "supposed" to be a bunch of different snakes here in west central ohio. ive been snake hunting here since i was a kid ive never found anything but garters and common water snakes.

no water anywhere around its right in the middle of town, houses piled on top of each other. his yard can be mowed in 2 minutes.
I agree with john then looks like a dekays to me also cool looking one very light gray
DeKay's brown snake (Storeria dekayi). Eats worms, slugs, small insects, and other small invertebrates mostly.
