    I did not know until this afternoon. I cut the clutch several days ago. I leave them alone for the most part when they are still in their eggs, so I had no idea. It was a very nice surprise.

    I can't make out anything when I candle, other than veins, so I don't bother with it other than checking them after being laid. Maybe I need a stronger flashlight. I do enjoy the surprise you get when seeing them after the eggs are opened up, so I probably won't.
