Shedding or Not?
I bought my first ever Ball Python yesterday, and it does doing VERY well. It has not hissed or tried to attack me. But, there is one problem (well, I think it is a problem). Whenever I bought it, it had some greyish, white stuff above its head. Now, I don't know if it is shedding or just something unusual. If it is shedding, it hasn't went inside its water bowl to help or anything like that. I did raise the humidity to 60%-70%, just in case. But, if it is not shedding, someone please tell me what the stuff above its head means. Sadly, I cannot post any pictures because my webcam doesn't pick them up very good at all. Thank you everyone!

Re: Shedding or Not?
It sounds like a little bit of stuck shed. Don't worry about it. When your snakes goes into shed next time (his eyes will turn a cloudy blue color and his overall color will darken) then bump up your humidity and it should come off with the next shed.
