    Kenyan sand boa ?'s

Im looking to get a Kenyan sand boa in a few weeks, I have experience with ball pythons, but I know they are a lot different. So I have some questions.

1.) How often do they eat?
2.) What would be a good size Tub for an adult?
3.) What do they eat? ( Mice? I heard they ate crickets, but idk) ?
    Thanks~Tre

Males get about 16 inches and females about $ feet. They eat pinky mice at birth. I feed my two about every week
When there small and on pinky mice I try every 3 days since its so hard to find pinky mice. My 20g male just ate a small hopper 4 days after he ate 4 pinky mice.

Looking at my female (1 year, a bit over 100g), I think she'll be good in a 28 qt tub as an adult. From what I understand, in general males tend to top out at fuzzies for food, and females top out at adult mice.

Of course, there are outliers with any animal, so bear in mind that what may work for the average snake may not work for your specific creatures

    Re: Kenyan sand boa ?'s

Ya pinky mice at first than my male was born in January and now eating hoppers or pinky rats. He's about 25g my female is around 75g and she's been on bigger hopper mice. Both of mine are in sand and will only eat if its in there cages. I've tried tubber ware and the won't eat. They also will not eat if there in aspen (I guess there uncomfortable) they only eat if in sand. Its cool watching them eat from the sand

I have 11 of these guys (8 babies yesterday) and they're awesome! I keep mine on shredded aspen, that I get giant bags for 15$ online. It works because I breed my own mice too. All of mine (except the babies) eat fresh-kill and live. I have a mature breeding pair and a sub-adult female. The sub-adult will eat fresh kill small hoppers/large fuzzies, but she sometimes gets pinkies too, which I just feed live. The adult male will do large fresh kill hoppers/small adults, but the adult female prefers smaller prey, so she'll eat the same size as the sub-adult. I keep my breeding pair in a modified 15gal. It would be 15 gal, but it's only half the height since they're burrowing snakes. I am able to take mine out to feed them. The male goes off feed sometimes, but the females always eat good.
