    Cheap Hides

I know a lot of people on here, myself included, like the look of the RBI hides.

At the chinese restaurant i usually go to they use these containers, sometimes in white, sometimes in black.

All you have to do is cut an entryway in them and melt the edges a bit and they're almost exactly the same as the RBI hides. There is more grooving on them, so cleaning them is a bit more work, but they sell on amazon for under a dollar a piece. My cinny is about 300g's now and she still fits under it just fine. I'd say they're good for balls up to about 500g's, idk for sure though. I've been saving them and using them for a little while now but don't eat that much chinese food. They've worked great for me, just thought i'd share in case anyone else wanted easy, cheap hides.

Those aren't bad. I use some silverware sorters for babies and medium cat litter pans for adults.

Thanks! If everything continues to go smoothly I'm going to need some itty bitty hides in 30-ish days. Those look perfect.

I've been using take out containers from Olive Garden and Cheesecake Factory. My only complaint is that they are flimsy. I like the RBI hides because they are a thicker plastic.

Yep, i agree they are flimsier. But for the size of snake that'll be using them, they don't need to be THAT strong. Plus they're cheap enough where if one breaks, you just replace it.

I used those containers when I was in college.. Lol! Back when I only had 3 or 4 snakes.

I feel like they are dishwasher safe too but I'm not certain..

    Cheap Hides

I have used various sizes of cardboard food boxes with success, you just have to switch them out every poop or pee.

I have those now for all my snakes but i notice the bigger snakes carry them around all over their tank on their back like a shell lolm otherwise they make perfect hides.
