Re: Nero signs with gravid female.

I forwarded this video to a very well known boa breeder with 15 years and 1000's of boas worth of experience while waiting for an appointment with my vet. His opinion is that she is suffering from a bacterial infection and that the symptoms have been brought on by the stress of her pregency. It makes perfect sense since she has not been exposed to any animals that may have been carrying ibd. I bumped the heat up on her hotspot and since then she has been relaxed on the hot side and her symptoms have decreased. I'm keeping a close eye on her and have the vet available in case her symptoms get worse. Her health is obviously my number one priority but at the moment she seems fine. So before I start her on an antibiotic course I will give her time to give birth to her clutch as long as its not apparent that she is in danger. Then if need be I will treat her after she's birthed. After all if she was a pregnant person this is more than likely how the doctors would proceed.
