Cool, how old is he? I wonder what the odds of getting parasites from rodents are.

It probably depends on your source. From what I hear it might not be all that uncommon for captive bred rodent colonies to have parasites. I hear that a supplier other than mine was dropped from the local Zoo due to parasites and I've heard of het albinos coming from a large breeder with tapeworms (my vet reports that tape worms come from feeders and not other snakes). Ask your supplier if they ever tried lab rodents and if they say they did and they all died you can bet they have some nasties of some type in their colony.

In the past 6 months or so I've found Strongyloides, Guardia, Tapeworms (twice), and Pinworms in my collection. Between the cost of fecal exams and treatment I'll soon have spent enough to have built my own outbuilding to raise my own lab rodents (something I hope to do soon).

Samson is about 7 months i think, i got him at petco about 6 weeks ago and he is a good eater and healthy, active snake!!
