    New Koi Pond

So my flower bed in my front yard was so bland with old pine bark, wooden dog-ears to edge it, and all dead plants. I wish I had a before picture of everything, but here's a few of my. OU pond install, so much work but it will be worth it when all is finished.

Digging the hole for the liner.

Installed and back filled the liner. Filled with new cypress mulch and edged with rock.

    Lined the pond with flagstone.

Wasn't happy, added more flagstone. Need to fix the waterfall a little better.

    New Coi Pond

Thanks all. Carlson: I live in Oklahoma so it ranges from 20 degrees to 115 degrees. I'll pull the pump when it gets to be freezing and being open top, it should expand up and not crack the liner.

Do you gotta remove the fish when it gets down to freezing? Or do they just do their fish thing under the ice?

First, it's spelled koi. Second, it's unprotected in the front yard where a kid could fall in and drown.

Yea a kid could, but that's honestly not his fault. It's the moronic parents fault if people don't know how to watch their kids. Unless your kid goes over there to play or something like that, you kid has no business on somebody's property. I wouldn't put a fence up and make my koi pond look tacky because of that, no offense or anything.

I'd be far less concerned with a kid falling in than somebody stealing your fish right out there in the open.
