cold side bp
So I just got my need about a week ago. Eats well, has good weight, but won't go to warm side of tank. Made sure temps and humidity was up to par before trying other things. Ambient temp is 85 with basking spot of 90. Cold side is 76 to 79 tops. He just refuses to go on the warm side. Tried switching the hides around to see if he liked one hide better then the other. Got identical hides to try out. Made sure that he doesn't have direct contact with heat pad. All heat elements are control by temp controllers. Maybe he's just a cold side of bp. Lol. What do u guys think.

Perfectly normal. My snakes all hang out on the cool side most of the time, but will go to the warm side at night sometimes since I tend to keep the room cooler at night.

Re: cold side bp
I've only had my girl for a couple of weeks, but I can add in she was the same way. She seems to enjoy the cooler side more but when she wants to warm up she will head over to the warmer side.

Some of mine will stay on the cool side.
What are you using to monitor temperatures?
I'd try to lower the ambient temperatures just a little, try to aim for 80.

Most days my BP is in his cool side hide as well.
I'm running a Pro-Products RHP, Herpstat I, and use an IR temp gun to check temps. Ambient temp on hot side is ~85, cool side is ~80.
