    CL Pastel??

I'm new to snakes and I can't tell if this is really a pastel or not. It was posted on Craigslist for $50. Would you buy this snake?

Yup, looks like a pastel. Pretty dark in that pic I would try to get a pic with some better lighting.

I'm not an expert, so I can't tell you if it's a pastel or not.

But personally, I wouldn't buy it, even for $50.

But like I said, I'm far from experienced, so maybe just wait for someone who knows a bit more and see what they have to say.

    lighting

Ask for a picture with better lighting. Pastels are generally a brighter yellow, lacking the brown color of a normal ball; however, when they are in shed they can appear much darker. Plus that picture plain sucks. If it is a pastel, $50 is a good price (given it has been properly taken care of)

Pastel, and no: looks too brown for my taste even in the poor lighting.

The quality of photos you can get from a baked potato these days is indeed impressive...

+1 to better lighting needed. and it depends on how big it is...if it's under, say, 600 grams, it's too browned out for my taste. If It's bigger, I wouldn't mind. (Then again, I'm the mama and breeder of a pretty darn browned out pastel...)

Otherwise, I like it. If it's a female, it's a steal. I'd buy it, if I needed it, and had the cash. Not the best example of the morph, but I like the pattern on it's back end. Reminds me of my girl.

What about this girly? She's 450grams & around 3ft long (give or take) and pretty friendly. Asking price is 250.

    It is a pastel.

Now should you buy it or not it up to YOU.

Would I? If I was looking for a pet why not, however as breeding stock I would say no.
