well I adopted two beardies about 2 week ago. a Male and female. They were in the same cage together when I got them. I separated them into their own tanks. After several days of watching her trying to get out I surmised she was gravid. Yup she laid 18 eggs. some good some bad.Well now that she is up to strength after being fed verrrry well after egg laying, she is in panic mode to get to my male. They cant even see each other and they are doing the mating dances
and trying to get out of their tanks. This starts around noon and lasts till early evening when they finally calm down. I even put her in her laying tank jussst to make sure she wasn't sneaking out more eggs. Its only been 5 days. When will this mania end? Will Zoey and Wash always want to mate since they have been tank buddies in the past? They weren't this frenzied before she laid her eggs. Both were calm. now its crazy.
Thanks. I haven't been able to find a duration type of answer. Zoey is in a 20long waiting for her 40g breeder to arrive. Wash is in a 40g breeder. Both has basking and UVB lights. Beng fed adult dragon food and fresh romain spinach broccoli cabbage mix. Dusted lightly and every other day a couple of dusted superworms and crickets.
