    Poop???

I've had my new ball python for 3 weeks now and haven't noticed any poop. Is that normal? He has ate for me once, and that was last Thursday. Don't really know how often they are supposed to go, and also really what to look for other than anything different than the substrate lol. Thanks for any help.

    Re: Poop???

Their poops look like dog turds. When they need to poop, they will. I have one who poops every 2 weeks like clockwork, but I have a couple who hold it in until they are going to explode (4+ weeks). As long as your ball python is eating well, I wouldn't worry about it.

Mine go once every few weeks. About once a month or less.
If you continue regular feedings, definitely expect a poop.

Their poo looks very distinct from substrate. Like poo...lol (not to mistake them and urates)

Mine all seem to like pooping in their warm side hides, so I have to look under them every time I do a water change lol. And when my big boas poop, I swear my dog somehow got into the cage!

Don't forget to check the water dish, I have several that use it regularly as the toilet. It does make keeping the tub clean very easy though.

Hahaha luckily, none of my snakes go in their water dish, but I used to have a huge female iguana that did. Now THAT was nasty!
