    Cutting Questions????

Today is day 60 and I cut. Not sure if they are ok or not? Temps and humidity have been perfect, but I'm not sure there was enough air in the tupperware. There was only one small hole at the top where the wire for the sensor went it. Should I see some movement in the babies? They look developed, and it looks like I got 1 White diamond. I hope I didn't mess up. How long before they make their way out of the eggs, if they are? How long before it's a bust?

    Thanks

What temp is "perfect"? I haven't had a clutch go all the way to 60 days without pipping, and I incubate at 89deg F. That doesn't mean that anything is wrong, just that maybe your temps weren't as perfect as you thought. Pics would also help.

    Re: Cutting Questions????

They were at 88 to 89 degrees the whole time. Should I hold the flap open and take a pic? I'm just concerned that I don't see any movement in them?

As long as nothing smells rotten, I wouldn't be too concerned. They don't move much while still in the egg.

I incubated my first clutch at around 87º and they pipped on day 61. Just give them some time, they will come out. They start moving much more after they pip. I was a little worried about a couple eggs that weren't pipping with the rest, but eventually they did and they are perfectly fine

Do you have pictures? I incubate at 88, cut on day 52/54, and they are out by day 56/58. Are you sure they aren't moving? Is the clear sack still intact? Also, I don't put any air holes in my egg tubs. I just use the $1 shoebox tubs and close the lid.

    Re: Cutting Questions????

They all are poking their heads thru the slits I cut. I got 2 Russos out of 7 eggs. Exactly what I was hoping for, pretty stoked for my first clutch. I hope I can tell the hets from the normals.

    Thanks!!
