    Enchis....your thoughts

Well I went to the Tampa repticon on Saturday will the intent on purchasing a Firefly female. Only saw 2 in the whole show. They were very nice looking animals, but I came home with a female Enchi. Enchi was really not even on my wish list, but this was the nicest one there.

My question is, what are your thoughts on the Enchis in general? I have a few years until she breeds, but I'm thinking a Pastave or Bumblebee for first breeding....or maybe Pied.

    Re: Enchis....your thoughts

    Hi,

It took me a long time to finally get an enchi.

But seeing what it brings to combo's - even recessives like pied, albino etc finally tipped the balance for me.

It even makes a champagne combo I like.

I think enchis are awesome. I was originally going to put mine with my lesser pastel, but after seeing a albino enchi, Im going to put her with my lavender. I also like hypo enchis and enchi clowns

Yeah, I keep telling myself that, but I'm still thinking about those Fireflies! There's always next time...

I am still looking for my Enchi. I want one so badly, I love what they look like when you find a great example, and what they do to combo's is ridiculous! But I am very picky, and so far when I have money I cannot find an enchi to suit me. When I'm flat broke, everybody has enchi's I'd buy.

Firefly's are sweet, that is true. But an exceptional enchi doesn't happen often, and if you got a good one you will always be glad you did.

Get both! Fireflies are tough to do right . Enchis are too, but you'll find a nice enchi before you find the nicest firefly . I think enchis have more going on than a first glance allows. They look cooler as they age which is more than you can say about almost every other morph . They combo well with almost everything, including recessives as well as morphs that normally don't combo well. There's a super form that can boost color and reduce the pattern which most people love .

I don't know if she is exceptional or not, I'll try to get some pics up soon. She was for sure to nicest I saw at the show.

Well your making me feel better. I went to buy a Firefly and left with something that really wasn't in my breeding plans. After talking with the breeders and telling them the males I have to work with, she was big on Enchi or Woma. I'm still not sold on a Woma.
