What do you use to secure the probe?
Quick question guys, as the title says, what do you guys use to secure the probe onto the heat tape for a rack system? I feel like just setting it there without anything will just make it move around a lot when I'm moving the tubs. However the owners manual says they do not recommend using foil tape, as it can give bad readings. So what do you guys use?

Eletrical tape, metal tape can cause the probe to read incorrectly.

I use a small piece of foil tape approximately half inch wide just enough to hold without covering much surface area of the probe.

I've got a piece of folded paper over the probe with the ends of the paper foil taped down. This holds it very tight and leaves room on both sides of the probe to not trap heat.

I second the duct tape motion.

I use foil tape but I tape the wire not the probe. I tape as close to the probe as I can which keeps the probe against the uth just fine.

What do you use to secure the probe?
It really doesn't matter as long as the tapes operational temp is beyond 180 F . Every heat source I have tested will be under this. Many duct tapes are rated high but not all check before you use. Electrical tapes at least in Canada must be rated at or better than 180. Many are over 200 and they are self extinguishing.

I had it sandwiched between the Flexwatt and the bottom of the cage secured by the pressure. Not it's hot glued down on the inside of the cage.
