Pinstripe x Normal.. whats going on here...

We had our first clutch of the year hatch out last weekend. We got 0.1 normal, 1.2 pinstripes, and 1.1 of these crazy reduced pattern pins. Not sure whats going on here... take a look at the pictures and tell me what you think. This is the first clutch we have produced from either of the parents. Have you guys seen anything like this?

I have no idea, personally. Those are some really awesome looking pins, though!

Those pins are defective. You can just send them on over to me.

Crazy cool patterns on that pair. I'd plan on breeding that male again soon...

"defective" huh? lol We think the mom is the carrier of whatever it is because she has a pretty reduced pattern herself. We have another clutch due to hatch on the 15th from the pinstripe so should have a better idea if its him.

First thought is did you have any fluctuations with your incubator?
Second is it possible Mom is het Pied?
Third it could be moms reduced banded pattern is genetic and is really messing up the Pinstripe pattern.
