    What do YOU think?

I thought there was something special about Pumpkin when I saw him in a pet shop. When he went on sale, I thought I should get him. I'm convinced there is something not-normal about him, but I don't know what. I wish I had taken photos when he was younger - he was yellow-orange and stood out from any other normal I'd ever seen. Not like a pastel though. The older he gets, the more I think there is something 'special' about him. He is getting darker yellow, but doesn't have the belly or head stamp of a yellow belly. He has REALLY nice yellow flames - I just can't put my finger on it. What do YOU think?

The coloring kinda reminds me of a low quality enchi. But the pattern isn't enchi

Looks enchi to me. Just not a great one.

I took Pumpkin to a reptile expo and had a few experts sex him and tell me what THEY thought. They all said the same thing: 'Enchi'. That was some time ago. He didn't look like the enchi pictures on Wold of Ball Python - at least not at that time. Now that I go back and look, I think you are all correct. He looks a lot like their photo now. (He didn't when he was younger - at least not to me).
I've never seen an Enchi and there wasn't any at the shows I've been to, so I'm kinda lost as to what an enchi is or does in breeding. World of Ball Pythons has a nice 'blurb' on enchi, but is rather usless for a description or what it does in a breeding program. Can someone please define enchi for me and tell me what it does?

    Thanks - Andy-

I think snakebytes made a video about enchis. I know he talks about them in a few.
